Hello, Real Team. I sincerely hope everyone is doing well. I hope that you are staying healthy during this cold weather and cold season. I want to begin this issue of PayNotes a little differently. I always begin with saluting you as a team. It takes several of us to make a team. However, each of us is important to the team! I want to thank you for pulling together in the same direction. That is what a REAL team member does. To become a team member, we have to be willing to do what it takes to form a great team! I was very impressed with the following story and I want to share it with you!
Sometimes, one life event is the impulse to make life changing decisions! This was the case of Michael Jordan! Jordan loved sports but failed to make his high school basketball team as a sophomore. One of Michael’s main principles is that there’s no excuse for not trying. The first setback came when he didn’t make the varsity basketball team in his sophomore year; because he was only 5’9” and his taller classmate Leroy Smith had taken the last spot on the team.
Not ever wanting to be in the same position again, Michael made a habit to practice daily – without fail. Hitting a growth spurt and reaching 6’3”, he made the team the following year and never looked back. He went on to win two gold medals in the Olympics, and winning the NBA’s most valuable player 5 times in his career, it was his determination and practice that gave him the greatest success.
Michael’s decision to become the best and focus on his dream led him to become a star. So many times we encounter difficulty and we give up! As we make New Year resolutions, we must think first where we currently are and where do we want to go in the next twelve months. As the Company grows, everyone will have an opportunity for new challenges. Some opportunities will be uncomfortable. Take those! Gold is refined under fire! Refuse to be mediocre! Excellence is our reflection!

FIRST QUARTERLY MEETING 2018. Please mark your calendars to attend the mandatory First Quarterly Employee Meeting 2018 on Friday, January 26, 2018. We will discuss operations, new business, employee goals, future opportunities and expectations that the New Year brings. We are excited about seeing everyone.
CHRISTMAS/END OF THE YEAR CELEBRATION: Please remember to RSVP for this gathering on Friday, December 22, 2017. The Company’s Christmas party will be at Pappadeaux Seafood on Friday December 22, 2017, from 8p.m. to 10 p.m. at 3520 Oak Lawn, Dallas TX 75219. Couples only!
Overtime Work: All overtime must be pre-approved. Submit your request for approval with ample time to have it approve
Keys: Key replacement will cost $50.00, fifty dollars per key if you lose your keys. Safeguard your keys.
Tardiness and Absenteeism: Leads and managers, please report tardiness and absences in your daily reports. Continuous absences and tardiness are grounds for termination. Please add these to your comments on your daily/weekly reports. Notes should include agreements or special arrangements that you make with your subordinates. It is difficult for the Admin Team to keep up with payroll hours and we have to keep accurate records for Human Resources personnel files.
DRUGS, ALCOHOL and SMOKE FREE WORKPLACE: Real Network Services, Inc. is a drug, smoke and alcohol free workplace. Random drug testing will be conducted. Refer to employee manual, under the section, “DRUG, ALCOHOL and SMOKE FREE WORKPLACE.” Anyone found violating this policy will be terminated.
Safety in the Workplace. Please submit your list of courses that you would like to take via the JJKeller Online Courses and Video Training. Several of you have submitted the courses you would like to take. We will inform you how to go online when we have the passwords from JJKeller. Only a small fraction of all employees have submitted their request. Please keep safe. Carelessness and safety infractions are cause for disciplinary action and may lead to termination.
Expenses. Please turn in your expense receipts no later than Monday of payroll week. It takes time to process and obtain approval before cutting your expense check. The Admin Team will not accept expenses that are dated from a month or months ago.
SAFETY & SECURITY. Please report any suspicious behavior, unethical decisions, anyone breaking the work guidelines, etc. immediately FIRED & PROSECUTED. Please be observant of all the rules and restrictions of the Company and your job site. Careless on the job is unacceptable. Many employees work on high security areas. Be vigilant and obey all rules. Violations can be catastrophic and carry high penalties. Be safe and secure!
CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS: PLEASE READ THE EMPLOYEE MANUAL. Remember that to get paid for a holiday, employee must have been working for the Company one (1) year.
Employees will earn PTO according to the period of time that they have worked with the Company:
Employment Period with Real Days Earned of PTO
1 Year of Employment 5 Days
2 Years of Employment 7 Days
3-4 Years of Employment 10 Days (2 weeks)
5 + Years of Employment 15 Days (3 weeks)
You must work the day before the holiday and the day after. We will not be working on Friday and is considered an unpaid holiday unless you have earned PTO.
If you have earned Personal Time Off and you would like to make Friday a PTO day, you can. Please refer to the employee manual, pages 21 and 22 of the July 2017 revision. If you do not know when you became an employee of the company, please call the office to verify the date. Earned time off and holiday pay are benefits that the Company offers you in recognition and gratitude for your contribution.
